We currently have a great assignment for a  Project Manager to support our client, a well-established design build government contractor. This is a long term opportunity based OCONUS / Internationally.
Job Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for the supervision and administration of construction activities for one or more projects and for fulfilling the terms of the contracts on assigned projects. The Project Manager plans, directs, or coordinates, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the new construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems, and shall:

  • Bear responsibility for supervising Project Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers and other project staff
  • Participate in the conceptual development of construction projects and oversee their organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation to include managers in specialized construction fields such as carpentry or plumbing
  • Negotiate with prospective clients, prepare estimates and proposals, assist in design and preparation of specification, and furnish other information which helps the client arrive at a decision to proceed with the project
  • Prepare schedule of values
  • Prepare a project plan for approval by supervisor
  • Prepare and update project schedules with input from project staff and, if required, assistance from the Scheduling Department
  • Negotiate change orders with client, architects and engineers
  • Complete all required reports
  • Assist with preparation of all Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, requisitions, proposals, etc.
  • Organize and set up the project field office unless the project is run from the Main Office or branch office
  • Utilizing Prolog Manager, select, set up and maintain required project reports, forms and logs as applicable to track activities such as shop drawing submittals, requests for information, field changes & change orders and purchase & delivery schedules
  • Prepare monthly requisitions
  • Approve payment of invoices received from vendors and subcontractors
  • Ensure that all on-site activities are carried out in strict accordance with Company and Government safety regulations

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Project Manager role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Must have a minimum of five years of commercial construction mechanical experience
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Primavera scheduling products
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a construction environment utilizing degree in respective discipline
  • USACE CQM-C and familiarity with RMS or QCS systems preferred
  • Federal contracting experience
  • OCONUS / International Experience
