RealStreet currently has a great opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer.  This individual will support our client, an engineering design and consulting firm that is headquartered in Alabama with a growing number of offices throughout the country. Job Responsibilities

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and conducting site civil work on private and public projects as well as growing the business in the Huntsville, AL area. 

Additional responsibilities of this role include:

• Enabling strategic market expansion by growing a civil design practice in an existing office
• Consulting with public and private clients on commercial, industrial, highway and water and sewer projects
• Leading and hiring a team, and working alongside the team to accomplish business goals
• Coordinating and working with other business units in the Huntsville office and other civil offices throughout the firm
• Overseeing and having a hands-on role in the completion of design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Overseeing the costing, estimating, planning and implementation of projects
• Maintaining schedules and coordinating task resources
• Conducting surveys, studies and site investigations
• Preparing reports and presenting technical matter to project groups and stakeholders

Specific qualifications for the Senior Civil Engineer include: 

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• An active Professional Engineering (PE) License in Alabama
• Fifteen (15) years of relevant design experience to include:
  • Two (2) years of leadership or project management experience
  • Municipal road, waterline and sewer projects
  • Retail, industrial, commercial and residential projects
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency with:
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, latest version
  • Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
