We currently have a great assignment for a Lead Cost Estimator. This individual will support our client, a Government Services Firm based out of Philadelphia, PA, with projects around the world. Job Responsibilities

The Lead Cost Estimator will support our client’s Government Services Team in Greenville, SC and can choose to work in the office, remotely or with a hybrid arrangement. They will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates through deliverables established by operations, construction or a client’s request for quote, including crafting staff labor, materials, equipment/rentals, indirect costs, cash flow and long term planning.   

Responsibilities of the Lead Cost Estimator include:

• Providing support and guidance for project personnel
• Supporting conceptual design by providing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) estimates and factored estimates through detailed quantity take offs from drawings
• Enhancing estimates by developing craft hour productivity rates, using a crew up process or by researching past project cost history
• Interfacing with all disciplines that support proposals and engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) estimates

Specific qualifications for the Lead Cost Estimator include:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Six (6) or more years of construction estimating experience, with: 
  • A basic knowledge of estimating resources
  • Experience looking at quantities, compiling basis of estimates and communicating regularly with Engineers, Designers and Project Managers
  • Experience on chemical, textile, fiber, government and consumer product related construction projects, ranging between $500K and $5M, preferred
• Proficiency using the most recent version of Microsoft Excel;
• Experience using SAP AG, WinEst and Primavera P6 is preferred
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
• Authorized to work in the US
