RealStreet is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to be based in Austin, TX  In this role, you will be expected to prospect new clients for hydro geological and water resource engineering services.  This Business Development Manager’s primary responsibility will be to develop rapport with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the working relationship while also growing the business and retaining existing clients.  Additional responsibilities of this role include:

  • Planning persuasive approaches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company
  • Presenting new solutions and services to existing clients
  • Working closely with mid and senior level management, marketing and technical staff
  • Managing the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company
  • Strategic Planning
  • Developing a pipeline of new business coming in to the company
  • Pursuing thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions and services the company can provide, and those of the company’s competitors

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Business Development Manager role include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
  • 10+ years of sales and technical experience providing professional services, preferably in the water resources, geoscience or engineering industries is required
  • Must possess strong networking, public speaking, writing and closing skills
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, motivation for sales, prospecting skill and market knowledge
