Job Description

We currently have a great assignment for a Civil Engineer with one of our top clients.  Our client is a full-service consulting firm offering a wide array of Program and Construction Management, Project Controls and Engineering services.


Job Responsibilities


The Civil Engineer will assist in the planning, designing, monitoring and managing of projects and programs for substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects for real property facilities encompassing highly specialized or unique requirements, and shall:

  • Be responsible for the management, supervision or performance of planning, designing, constructing and maintaining structures and facilities that provide shelter, support transportation systems and control natural resources
  • Serve as a technical consultant concerning facilities planning, design, construction and maintenance for different categories of facilities, and utilize program planning
  • Be responsible for using engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, in making some substantial engineering adaptations and modifications to assigned aspects of storm drain, sanitary sewer, water system, lake-level construction and alteration plans
  • Be responsible for working with budgeting cycles, financial control and budget systems to determine resources and perform long-range planning
  • Review consultant-prepared design drawings, indicating basic design corrections, prepare technical specifications and review engineering plans for compliance with numerous regulatory acts
  • Assist in the evaluation of contract bids, make recommendations to higher-level engineers regarding feasibility studies and assist in the management of large-scale construction projects
  • Use construction inspection report data to prepare payment estimates as a recommendation for payment of contractors
Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Civil Engineer role includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 2+ years of full-time engineering experience required at minimum

OR

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college, university or technical school may be substituted for one year of the experience requirement preferred
  • Current EIT Certification required
  • Experience using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Experience with PondPack, StormCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and FlowMaster
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
