We currently have a great assignment for a Civil Engineer. This individual will support our client, an engineering, procurement and construction services firm with projects around the world. Job Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will provide Civil Engineering services for nuclear projects out of our client’s office in Greenville, South Carolina.

Responsibilities of the Civil Engineer include:

• Generating designs related to water distribution systems, water supply, sewage collection, distribution, and treatment, grading and drainage, and pavement evaluation
• Reviewing and evaluating the accuracy of designs, evaluation calculations and specifications
• Engaging in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects
• Providing estimating and budgeting support

Specific qualifications for the Civil Engineer include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another related field
• Five (5) years of relevant Civil Engineering design or field experience, preferably including:  
  • Federal project experience with the Department of Energy (DOE) or the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • A strong understanding of civil industrial work, with the ability to perform detailed layout and designs
  • Experience preparing civil related permits and reports
  • Experience leading a small to medium project
• Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software and procedures (stormwater pond design, storm drainage design, pipe networks, earthwork cut and fill calculations)
• A working knowledge of Federal (including the Department of Energy), state and local codes and standards applicable to civil engineering design, as well as commercial availability and cost of materials, means and methods of construction
• Must be a US Citizen
