We currently have a great assignment for a Construction Quality Control Manager. This individual will support our client, a growing engineering and environmental consulting firm based out of Florham Park, NJ with projects in New York and New Jersey. Job Responsibilities

The Construction Quality Control Manager will work in conjunction with the Project Manager on a civil and vertical construction project in Jersey City verifying construction quality, reviewing sub-contractor submittals, scheduling inspection work and writing daily reports.

Additional responsibilities of the Construction Quality Control Manager include:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the project scope of work, project specifications, project drawings and subcontractor scopes of work
  • Reviewing and editing Quality Control Plan to reflect specific project conditions and requirements and submit for approval at beginning of project
  • Conducting preparatory meetings with subcontractors and vendors and verifying their conformance to project requirements on the project site
  • Maintaining a physical presence and regularly inspect work on site to ensure compliance, addressing any quality issues and maintaining a deficiency log
  • Establishing and tracking submittals from subcontractors and vendors to coordinate with project schedule
  • Coordinating independent testing companies per project requirements
  • Processing submittals and RFI’s through Government for approval and distribute returned information to subcontractors and vendors
  • Maintaining project information system

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Construction Quality Control Manager include:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 or more years of quality control management
  • Five (5) or more years of quality control management is required; USAC Contractor Quality Control (CQC) experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction permitting
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Primavera a plus
  • Authorized to work in the US
