Job Description

We currently have a great assignment for a Construction Representative. This individual will support our client, a design, program management (PM) and construction management (CM) firm based out of Massachusetts, with projects around the world. In addition to a competitive salary, the position provides a benefits package which includes an extensive insurance plan and a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match.
Job Responsibilities
The Construction Representative will be working on the upgrade and relocation of pipelines and installation of HDPE pipelines for a wastewater treatment plant in Waco, Texas.
Responsibilities of the Construction Representative include:
- Performing oversight of construction personnel working on large-sized construction site
- Ensuring construction work put in place matches construction plans
- Identifying deficiencies in constructed structures and reviewing contract terms and conditions
- Ensuring construction timelines, costs and materials are in compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Documenting deficiencies, expected cost overruns and material
- Maintaining daily reports of construction activities and preparing related reports, such as monthly progress reports
- Facilitating construction progress meetings
Job Requirements
Specific qualifications for the Construction Representative include:
- High School Diploma or GED is required, a related vocational technical degree is preferred
- Fourteen (14) years of Construction Management or Construction Representative experience, including:
- Experience reviewing contract documents, coordinating submittals and RFIs and following contract guidelines
- Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in construction
- The ability to read, understand, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings and specifications
- Water/wastewater pipeline experience is preferred
- Experience with computers and smartphones, including and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to travel to the job site
- Authorized to work in the US
