We currently have a great assignment for a Construction Scheduler with one of our top clients.  Our client is a full-service consulting firm offering a wide array of Program and Construction Management, Project Controls and Engineering Services.

Job Responsibilities

The Construction Scheduler will serve in a lead technical role on specific assignments and review preparation of reports and other project deliverables including designs, cost estimates and schedules.  The location of this position is in Dulles, VA and the Construction Scheduler additionally shall:

  • Develop and review CPM schedules using Primavera and MS Project
  • Assist in reviewing construction claims
  • Assume a lead role in managing the execution of various assignments from design through construction including resource planning, progress reporting and project closeout
  • Serve as primary liaison with clients for initiation and coordination of tasks including cost, schedule and quality control
  • Coordinate the efforts of multiple project stakeholders
  • Participate in the development of proposals for new pursuits and lead presentations as necessary
  • Actively support marketing and business development efforts
Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Construction Scheduler role include: 

  • 5+ years of progressive project controls experience is required
  • 3+ years of DOT experience including Category 4 is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required
  • Certification in PSP or PMI-SP is required
  • Certified PE, CCM or CCP is preferred
  • Proficient in TILOS, Primavera P6 release 7, 8.2 and 8.3, CM14, Unifier or other PM / CM software tools found working at engineering, construction or design-build firms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • New construction and modernization of US diplomatic facilities experience is preferred
  • Active or ability to obtain US Secret clearance highly preferred
