We currently have a great assignment for a Senior Architect. This individual will support our client, a top-ranked architecture, engineering, planning and construction firm based out of Georgia, with projects around the US & Canada. Job Responsibilities

The Senior Architect will become part of our client’s IDIQ contract with a Federal Architectural Engineering Services Unit in Huntsville, AL. This individual will be providing preliminary planning, feasibility/functional studies, conceptual design, design intent documents, as well as construction documents for renovation and construction projects.

Responsibilities of the Senior Architect include:

  • Managing design projects, from planning and programming to post-occupancy
  • Conducting site visits, preparing plans, performing design reviews and supporting the development and evaluation of project schedules
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team of design / construction professionals on projects, and coordinating with personnel, contractors and other team members on projects as necessary
  • Developing Scope of Work (SOW) for Architectural and Engineering One (AE1) services and supporting the government with design-build procurements
  • Reviewing and producing RFIs, proposals, documents, drawings, specifications and Programs of Requirement (POR)
  • Maintaining knowledge on recent versions of the International Building Code and Commentary (IBC), the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) and all pertinent federal accessibility standards

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Senior Architect include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture. 
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in commercial/government office building design and construction
  • Attainment of architectural license is preferred
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project
    • AutoCAD 2021 version 24.0
  • Active Secret Security Clearance and can obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
