Job Description

We currently have a great assignment for a Senior Civil Engineer. This individual will support our client, an employee owned engineering firm, which supports clients in the industrial, commercial, transportation, federal and municipal markets. The company is based out of the Southeast with projects throughout the US. Job Responsibilities
The Senior Civil Engineer will become a part of our client’s engineering group, based in the Southeast, with partial to full remote working opportunities. The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for assigned civil engineering projects throughout the Southeast United States.
Responsibilities of the Senior Civil Engineer include:
- Preliminary design, project planning, layouts and other activities which lead to the engineering of a project
- Consulting with clients, engineers, architects, and vendors to determine the most practical and desirable engineering design in keeping within the budget
- Preparing estimates, design criteria and materials for engineering projects, include cost estimates and schedules, based on compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
- Writing specifications for materials
- Coordinating, supervising and assuming responsibility for all work completed by assigned employees, such as Engineer Associates, Designers, Drafters and Technicians
- Marketing services to current and potential clients
Job Requirements
Specific qualifications for the Senior Civil Engineer include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution or registration as a Professional Engineer
- Ten (10) years engineering experience
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Proficiency with latest versions of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS and WaterGEMS
- Authorized to work in the US
