We currently have a great assignment for a Senior Facility / Property Condition Assessor. This individual will support our client, a cost and project management firm in Alexandria, VA with projects throughout the country. This individual will be based out of the Alexandria, VA office. Well-qualified candidates may have the option to work remotely 50-100% of the time (the determination will be based on education and past experience). The position provides a comprehensive benefits package which includes paid holidays, paid time off, an extensive insurance plan and a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Facility / Property Condition Assessor will become a part of our client’s Assessment Services Team in Alexandria, VA. This person will be responsible influencing every step of the construction decision-making process, and adapting to each project’s unique circumstances.

Responsibilities of the Senior Facility / Property Condition Assessor include:

  • Manage staff and external sub-consultants
  • Lead all assigned projects
  • Complete detailed condition assessments and other building evaluations from site visits to report issuance
  • Write complex business documents such as reports on exterior facades, roofs, interior finishes, MEP, fire and life safety, and conveyance systems
  • Take photographs to illustrate the building systems and any apparent defects
  • Coordinate site visits with clients, building managers, internal staff, and sub-consultants
  • Complete site visits throughout the country while meeting strict deadlines
  • Identify potential new clients
  • Manage workload and deliverables
  • Develop cost forecast with the cost team

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Senior Facility / Property Condition Assessor include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, project management or five (5) or more years in the field of property assessment
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Equity Level Property and Facility Condition Assessments preferably spanning several sectors such as, commercial, multi-family, education and government
  • Three (3) or more years of experience leading an assessment assignment and team from start to finish on a given project
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with condition assessment software is preferred
  • Overnight and out of town travel is required
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Valid Driver’s License
