We currently have a great engagement for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be working on projects for our client, an engineering firm that specializes in geotechnical, environmental and materials engineering services. Job Responsibilities
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for expanding our client’s presence in the local Louisville, KY market while providing regional engineering support. Additional responsibilities of the Senior Geotechnical Engineer may include:

  • Business development, including the generation of proposal opportunities
  • Preparing proposals, reports and presentations
  • Conducting or overseeing field inspections and geotechnical evaluations
  • Assigning routine lab work while managing the completion of assignments
  • Assisting teams with geotechnical aspects of projects

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Senior Geotechnical Engineer role include:

  • A Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • The ability to become licensed upon hire as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Kentucky is required, a current PE registration in Kentucky is highly preferred
  • Five (5) plus years of geotechnical engineering experience focused on foundations
  • Field experience related to foundations (deep and shallow) inspections a plus
  • Ability to review designs, plans and specifications. Additional pavement design experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to generate business and grow a local practice
  • Excellent communication, writing and customer relations skills
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A clean driving record
