We currently have a great assignment for a Senior Structural Diagnostic Engineer in Kansas City, Kansas with one of our clients, an engineering firm that specializes in environmental, facilities and geotechnical services.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Structural Diagnostic Engineer will join our client’s Facilities Consulting Team in order to provide structural, diagnostic and general engineering support services on projects in the public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy and industrial sectors. This individual may be responsible for the supervision of Structural Diagnostic Engineers as well as field staff and additional Senior Structural Diagnostic Engineer responsibilities shall include:

  • Participating in pre-construction activities such as the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, schedules and engineering plans
  • Performing inspections and conducting analyses to include field condition assessments of building systems related to structural / material components
  • Evaluating laboratory data in order to make project recommendations and for use in reporting
  • Reviewing design drawings to assure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Tracking and evaluating project progress, monitoring budgets and making recommendations when necessary
  • Coordinating non-technical communications and technical project details including issues, conceptual solutions and recommendations between project teams, field personnel and vested parties

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Senior Structural Diagnostic Engineer role include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering experience focused on structural systems or diagnostics for defect assessment and remediation
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and lead others
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
