Job Title: Sr. Construction Representative

Job Summary:

The Sr. Construction Representative is responsible for the surveillance of construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, and delivering findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). This role involves detailed oversight of construction processes, collaboration with government personnel, and providing expert recommendations and reports throughout all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveillance of construction projects and deliver comprehensive findings to the COR
• Prepare and submit surveillance reports on all phases of construction, assessing compliance with plans and specifications in terms of workmanship, materials, installation, and construction methods
• Familiarize oneself with contract plans and specifications across all phases of construction and make recommendations for necessary changes to government personnel
• Provide on-site surveillance, assist the COR in resolving apparent discrepancies, and offer professional opinions to government personnel
• Evaluate quality assurance programs related to projects, discuss changed conditions, and provide informed advice to government personnel
• Assist the government in investigating the need for, and preparing data for, change orders
• Develop detailed inspection requirements and control methods in collaboration with government personnel
• Draft change orders and modifications for the COR’s signature
• Ensure that all deliverables from the contract employee under this discipline are submitted for government review within 10 calendar days of receipt

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction contract administration
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical documents
• Proficiency in preparing reports and documentation

Working Conditions:

• Primarily on-site at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary range: $127,000 - $131,000
