We currently have a great assignment for a Transportation Project Manager. As a Transportation Project Manager, you will support our client, a full-service consulting, engineering and technical firm focused on helping their public and private clients to improve the environment and infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

The Transportation Project Manager position is located in Houston, TX. The Transportation Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management, schedules, cost estimates and additional duties, to include:

  • Developing, overseeing and monitoring project activities including scope, budget and schedule management
  • Coordinating between in-house disciplines, sub-consultants and client to ensure consistency in deliverables
  • Planning production oversight
  • Preparing cost estimates
  • Interacting with client
  • Assisting in the production of proposals, presentations and letters of interest

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Transportation Project Manager role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET - accredited program
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in geometric design for roadways / interchanges, drainage design, utility relocation, construction sequencing & traffic control
  • Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide (RDG), the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
  • Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GEOPAK, InRoads or any other roadway design software
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Previous experience in consultative engineering with a primary focus on TxDOT or other DOT transportation projects is preferred
